Jasmin has finished the edging and blocked the Sideways Dude cardigan out of Dragonfly Fibres Traveller in “Horton Hears a Who”.

Gigi has bound off the Three Color Cowl by Joji Locatelli out of yarn from the Neighborhood Fiber Company, using Jenny's Amazingly Stretchy Bind-off. Needs to be blocked and photographed.

 

Jasmin is working on the raglan decreases on the Lionheart sweater for Rex out of Abstract Fiber Calder in “diversity” and “saffron”.

 

Gigi is working on the body of the Sidewalk sweater. . And it is heavy, and getting close to the hem

 

Jasmin has gotten the sleeves half-knit out on the Hearthstone pullover by Ysolda Teague in Twisted Owl “Eye Searing Pink”.

 

Gigi is working on another Bias Cowl out of yarn by the Neighborhood Fiber Company. Perfect for watching tv.

 

Jasmin has swatches for the Te Fiti sweater for Genevieve out of Knitmona DK. We talk about beading on the sweater.

 

 

 

Started the Beastkeeper shawl with yarn from Twisted Owl Fiber Studio ( correction: Gigi said Beastmaster).

 

Jasmin has made some progress on her sock out of White Birch Fiber Arts “nothing says *i love you* like a rainbow” sock set

 

Gigi is working on the instant coffee socks by C.C. Almon, put in waste yarn for the heel, and is working on the foot of the second sock. Progressing much faster.

 

Jasmin is casting on her Flirty Berberis as we record.

Gigi finished knitting the preemie beanie, and cast on another one.

Gigi has been wearing her Quynn hat and the Greyhaven hat which was a gift from Boston Jen.

Rex has also been wearing his Quynn hat, which Laura from the Knit Girllls hat made for Genevieve. Very generously, Genevieve let Jasmin borrow her Hamilton hat.

 

We mention Emily, who designed the Hamilton hat. Jasmin is also thrilled about the Goodreader app

 

Gigi has pulled all her woolens out of her closet, to wash before storing them. She has set up an assembly line system.

 

Conquering Mt. Knitmore. Gigi has a routine going. Ideally, very day, wash one piece in Soak, spin in washing machine, lay flat to dry. Afterwards, they need to be Gleenered.  She has 11 Sweaters done, 7 More to go. She also wants to block her stash of finished shawls.

Jasmin is working on a Sideways Dude cardigan, and likes it so much, she is planning  to knit more.

She has finished the sleeves and is crocheting the edge on the Sideways Dude cardigan out of Dragonfly Fibres Traveller in “Horton Hears a Who”.

This week for Mother Knows Best, we talk about adapting a yarn with a gauge different from the pattern, using a Percentages/proportion system of pattern changing. Jasmin mentions her Katarina.

Gigi couldn't find her bias loop cowl, that was hiding in plain sight, but it finally turned up

She needed to do the kitchenering on it. It is done looser than on a sock, and she kept fighting with it. Also, it was not as smooth as she would have liked.

 

Dogs help with Rex's sleeves that Jasmin was knitting.

 

Gigi was working on the 3 color cowl. She counted all the stitches, and had one too many.
She found a split a stitch two rows down, she also had dropped a stitch, and laddered that up

Jasmin has finished the garter wrap cardigan (by churchmouse yarns) out of FabFunkyFibres in the “Spock” color way. It is blocked, labels are sewn in.

 

Jasmin is nearly done with the hand finishing on the Gone Astray cardigan for Genevieve. Julia Farwell-Clay has a special discount for this pattern for Knitmore listeners (on Jasmin's project page). She is using Clothing Labels by Sterling. She also mentions Rex's Welcome to the Flock Cardigan.

 

Gigi has started the Three Color Cowl by Joji Locatelli out of yarn from the Neighborhood Fiber Company, and has added the second color.

She loves the crochet slip stitch method of attaching the facing. Jasmin likes the ergonomic Swing crochet hook from Skacel. She has added her own touch to this technique to make it more efficient. Sometimes, she uses the Multi-hook tool. Gigi suggests the third hand tool. Jasmin also mentions Aunt Lydia's Crochet Cotton.

One Minute Health Update

 

Jasmin has finished the Anna cardigan! It is glorious. However, the gold beads lost color in water.

Gigi is working on the Bias Loop from Churchmouse out of KnitMona in Silver and Gold. She mentions Oink Pigments.

 

Jasmin has made some progress on “Lionheart” out of Abstract Fiber’s “Diversity “ colorway.

She mentions the Kapuzin hoodie and the Landon sweater.

 

Gigi is knitting Gansey socks, did heel on one sock, started picking up heel on second sock.

 

Jasmin is working on the button bands on the Gone Astray cardigan for Genevieve. Julia Farwell-Clay has a special discount for this pattern for Knitmore listeners (on the project page) . She is using the buttonhole pattern from Splendid Apparel. She is enthusing about the flash drive chip cards from XRX (which aren't on their website yet).

 

Gigi finished knitting a preemie hat, and cast on a new one/

 

Jasmin has swatched for three sweaters for the kids, the Little Pole cardigan, with yarn from the Neighborhood Fiber Company. There is also yarn from Dragonfly Fibers, for a Sideways Dude and Flirty Berberis.
