Mother Knows Best:(23:34)

This week we suggest you be the Boss of your Knitting. We also talk about freshening up sweaters.

When Knitting Attacks:(27:44)

Gigi lost a game of yarn chicken.  She was a yard and a half short binding off the Lorelei cowl. Also, she can't find the rest of her yarn.

Jasmin fixed the button band of the Little Baby Sweater by Purl Soho.

Review:(33:26)

This week we review Custom Socks: Knit to Fit Your Feet by Kate Atherly

Straw Into Gold:(41:31)

Gigi has been spinning every day, and has almost spun all of her fleece.

Jasmin has been plying like a fiend, to make her Stash Dash goal before going into labor. She is planning to knit the  Schoodic cardigan by Hannah Fettig with it.

She has been using the Schacht Yardage Counter in conjunction with the Schacht Ultra Swift.

And Sew On:(47:16)

Gigi's sewing machine refused to sew. She tried every trick in the book, and it finally worked again.  She sewed in the zipper, basted shut the lining so Genevieve couldn't try it on. So it has to be lengthened, and Gigi added length and is thinking of sewing rickrack over the seam.

There is some heckling of NDJen04 of the Commuter Knitter podcast.

Gigi is adding stitches on a preemie hat. She also is knitting more socks out of the Regia 6ply that she had left over from last weeks socks.

Jasmin is very pleased with the customer service at Unicorn Fiber. Genevieve's Playful Stripes cardigan cardigan has been (somewhat) salvaged.

Gigi needs to switch out whorls to make her spinning wheel go faster. Also, she got Rumpelstilzkined, when her spinning attacked her. The singles had slipped the confines of the bobbin.

Jasmin didn't set up her Woolly Winder properly and managed to confound herself. Her goal per day is 75g per day.

And Sew On:(53:41)

Mother Knows Best:(34:13)

This week we answer a question from the "What do you want to hear about?" thread in the forum

about pattern ideas for gradient yarn.

Miss Babs's kits are amazing, as are Martina Behm's kits. Also, a lot of Stephen West's patterns will work spectacularly for gradient yarns. Moebius cowl, and Jasmin mentions Amy Detjen's sweater out of Knitcircus, and the Hiro cardigan.

We are wondering if there is a filter for gradients in ravelry.

The Philosopher's Fair Isle  is an option for gradients, as is using Kauni, like Stephanie Pearl McPhee's project. Or the Lane Splitter skirt.

The other question we try to answer is what to do if you get gauge but hate the fabric.

Custom Fit software by Amy Herzog. We don't know if you can import patterns into this software.

Jasmin's Cocoknits Katarina is mentioned.

Natalie, of Mastering the Knits is mentioned

When Knitting Attacks:(43:36)

Gigi was attacked by a variation of the provisional crocheted cast-on. She got the wrong amount of stitches on the Fractal Danger Shawl.

She will take her Hansen Mini-Spinner with her and is excited about the RAVPower® Xtreme Battery
